I am an educational technology coordinator, instructional design enthusiast, and professional development facilitator with more than a dozen years of experience as a teacher and trainer. During my years in the classroom, I embraced technology and design as a way of engaging and motivating students, while also arming them with the skills required for success in the modern world. I believe that technology can inspire student’s creativity, spark their curiosity, and drive their desire to gain knowledge.

    Technology Coordinator / Instructional Coach, Mamaroneck Schools
    (Mamaroneck, NY, 2015-Present)

    • Responsible for short and long-term technology planning, budgeting, purchasing, and staff development
    • Planned and managed a district-wide transition to Google Apps for Education for all students, teachers, and administrators
    • Coordinated a complete rebuild of the district website and content management system
    • Managed 1:1 technology program for 2,800+ students, including a shift from district-owned device usage to a "bring-your-own-device" model

    Co-Founder / Director of Technology, STEM Leadership Center
    (White Plains, NY, 2012-Present)

    • Co-Founder and Technology Director of nonprofit corporation which provides after-school programs for students and professional development for teachers
    • Responsible for all technology planning, purchasing, managing, and instructing
    • Designed and delivered professional development for teachers and administrators in technology integration which included iOS devices, web tools, instructional design and digital communication

    Science Teacher, Hommocks Middle School
    (Mamaroneck, NY, 2005-2015)

    • Managed a 1:1 iPad pilot program for 400+ 8th grade science students, including all teacher training
    • Designed and delivered professional development courses to other educators on the topics of technology integration and curriculum design
    • Wrote and was awarded multiple technology grants allowing for the purchase of a digital recording studio, one-to-one iPod Touches, classroom iPads, and classroom Smartboards.
    • Designed, built and maintained an online classroom complete with a weblog, digital grade-book, online lab activities, and over 100 topical review videos
    • Served on the Educational Technology committee, participated in several pedagogical and technology-related research studies
